So that trip to the coast last weekend (see last post) turned into an afternoon sitting on the side of the highway waiting for a tow truck. Adventures don’t always go as planned..especially in ‘89 camper vans..but we made the best of the day and ended up relaxing at home, eating steak that was meant for an ocean side grill. | Bouquet for a lovely bride this weekend.

Been up to our eyeballs in mood boards, meetings and proposals alllll week we didn’t even have time for the gram! Finished out the week in the studio designing these babes for @livviesmalls High Noon Brunch at @highgroveestate You gotta check our stories out to see this AMAZING venue 🙌🏼 it’s a dream! (Dear brides please book them and hire us do your flowers. K thanks!) Now just have to get through the rest of today and we’re off for a little Oregon coast adventure tomorrow in the camper 🚌 🚌

Today is National lynch syndrome awareness day. As someone with this rare genetic mutation I just wanted to take a moment to bring awareness to lynch and hopefully reach someone who may also have this and isn’t yet aware. If you have a family history of early cancers or multiple cancers and especially Ashkenazi heritage, it’s super important to be proactive with your health care and think about genetic testing for lynch or other possible mutations. As with any genetic mutation, if one of your parents has a mutation your chances are 50/50 that you will as well. Lynch syndrome puts people at an exponentially high chance of getting hard to detect cancers, but proper screening and preventative care is the way to stay on top of your health and well-being. I feel very thankful to have gotten genetic testing and found out that I have lynch syndrome before I got any cancers as some of my family have not been as fortunate. As part of my preventative health care plan I had a total hysterectomy last year at the age of 30. I also have to get yearly colonoscopies forever....uggggh! But it’s still better than cancer. You only get one body in this lifetime to take care of and knowledge is power. Xo britlyn ✌🏼 #lynchsyndromeawarenessday #lynchsyndromeinternational
